Jil Movie Review, Performances and Box Office Analysis.

Gopichand, who is basking in the success of Loukyam has chosen a tailor made subject with Jil. He has completely gone for a makeover and is at his stylish best in the movie. Gopichand’s Jil directed by debutante Radha Krishna Kumar showed lot of promise prior to the release. The hype and expectations created were high due to stylish promos and peppy songs.

Gopichand: Gopichand is known for doing characters which have a lot of mass appeal. In this movie he has appeared very stylish and suave, though his characterisation has a lot of mass appeal, the total packaging is top class.

Gopichand has underplayed himself and showcased how good an actor he is in this role. His confrontation episodes with the antagonist are shot well can be said to be one of the highlights of the movie.

Raashi Khanna: Rashi Khanna is pretty hot as the female lead. She carried off her role with aplomb and shows lots of character to become one of the most sought after actresses in Telugu cinema.

Kabir Duhan Singh is top notch as a villain and he looked menacing in the negative role. He might find more roles in Telugu cinema, where a menacing villain is needed to take the heroism a step further.

Posani Krishna Murali did another full length comedy role in this film. There are many other character artists, like Urvashi, Chalapathi Rao, Bharath, Avasarala Srinivas, Supreet, they have a limited role to play and have done justice to their roles given.

Highlights of the Movie.

1. Hero and heroism elevation scenes.

2. Rain Fight

3. Gopichand’s Stylish Presentation.

4. Raashi Khanna’s Glamour.

5. Villainism by Kabir Singh.

On the Flipside.

1. There is a lot of predictability.

2. Does not reach the expectations set up for the Climax.

3. Jil is a regular Masala movie.

Director Radha Krishna Kumar has chosen a wafer thin story line and struggled to validate his point of view.

Box Office Analysis and Performance of Jil.

Jil can expect some good openings, after the successful promos and posters showing Raashi Khanna and Gopichand kissing. The movie has enough commercial elements to perform well at the box office, taking into consideration, the summer holidays. Whether the movie can become Gopichand’s biggest hit, has to be seen as there are no big action movies that can take on Jil at least for the next 2 weeks.
